Telefonica, Unions to Reach Deal on Thousands of Voluntary Departures, Expansion Reports

--Telefonica SA and Spanish workers' unions are set to sign a
deal approving a voluntary departure plan for up to 2,982 workers
on Tuesday, business newspaper Expansion reports.
--The plan will cost the Spanish telecommunications company
between 1.6 billion and 1.7 billion euros ($1.81 billion-$1.92
billion), which will be booked as a provision in the fourth
quarter, Expansion said.
