Caterpillar January 3-Month Retail Machine Sales Decline

Caterpillar Inc. said January world three-month machine retail
sales were down, with declines in all regions.
Worldwide rolling three-month retail machine sales in January
were down 7%, following a 5% decline in December.
The Asia-Pacific region saw a 2% decline for the period, versus
a 5% decline in December.
Europe-Africa-Middle East region three-month retail sales were
down 5% for January, after being down 5% the prior month.
North American January three-month retail sales declined 11%,
following a 4% drop in December.
Latin America had a 2% decline, versus a 12% December
decline.
Resource industries three-month retail machine sales were down
7% worldwide for January, after declining 10% in December.
Construction industries January three-month retail sales were
down 6%, while December's figure was down 3%.
