Mercer International Inc. Announces Senior Marketing Executives NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mercer International Inc. (NASDAQ:MERCSNASDAQ:TSX:NASDAQ:MRI.U) today announces the appointment of David Cooper and Eric Heine as senior sales and marketing executives to lead the global marketing strategy for Mercer pulp. Mercer's approximate 1.3 million tonnes of high quality NBSK production will be sold globally under their direction. Mr. Cooper will be based in Europe and will focus on European markets while Mr. Heine will be based in Vancouver, Canada with a focus on North American and Asian markets. Mercer's strategy is to provide high quality NBSK pulp, manufactured from modern low cost facilities to meet our customers' needs throughout the world. In keeping with this strategy, the Company is establishing a strong global marketing approach to deliver a combination of effective and reliable direct and agent supported order fulfillment strategies.
