LSI Industries Announces It Has Sold LSI Marcole and Will Record a Loss on the Sale
31 März 2010 - 1:45PM
LSI Industries Inc. (Nasdaq:LYTS) today announced that it has sold
LSI Marcole, its wire harness manufacturing facility located in
Manchester, Tennessee, to Wilcas Wire, a privately owned wire
harness manufacturer in Nashville, Tennessee. LSI had previously
announced two months ago that it would close LSI Marcole in early
April, but that announcement generated the interest of a few
potential buyers of the business. LSI ultimately determined it
was in the best interests of its shareholders to sell the operating
assets, facility and business of LSI Marcole rather than to simply
close the business. This will result in an approximate
$700,000 loss to be recorded in the Company's third fiscal quarter
on the sale of the operating assets, facility and business of LSI
Marcole. The facility will continue to be operated by Wilcas
Wire under the name of Marcole Enterprises. For the nine
months ended March 31, 2010, LSI Marcole had net customer sales of
approximately $2,900,000 and an operating loss, which includes the
loss on the sale, of approximately $(1,000,000). LSI will
continue to source a substantial portion of its wire harness needs
from Marcole Enterprises.
