Factory Card & Party Outlet Corp. (NASDAQ: FCPO) announced today that net sales for the four-week period ended May 5, 2007 decreased 5.2 percent from the four-week period ended May 6, 2006. Comparable store sales for the four-week period ended May 5, 2007 decreased 3.3 percent from the prior year. To further evaluate these sales trends, the Company indicated that the comparable store sales for the nine-week period (March and April combined) ended May 5, 2007, was a 1.7 percent increase.
