State police training program arms students with a flexible and convenient tuition payment tool

Students enrolling in the Idaho State Police’s Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) are now able to make installment payments online. This new service eases the tuition payments process, letting future law enforcement professionals focus on what matters most - their training.

“We are very excited to be able to offer this service to incoming and existing students,” said Lori Hicks, POST financial specialist. “It allows more flexibility and convenience in how they pay for the training we offer.”

Students have access to a dedicated website and can easily set up a payment plan that is convenient for them. Choices include a one-time future payment or the recurring option, where students can select from weekly, biweekly, monthly, or semi-annual payment frequencies.

Credit/debit card numbers and bank account numbers are stored securely for added convenience.

POST benefits from Scheduled Payments by receiving guaranteed funds and electronic deposits as well as access to online, exportable billing reports.

Scheduled Payments processes payments securely for any credit or debit card displaying a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express logo.

POST partnered with Access Idaho to offer the Scheduled Payments payment processing service. The partnership operates under a self-funded model in which no tax dollars or state funds were used to develop and none are necessary to maintain the service.

POST is the second agency department in the state to use Access Idaho’s Scheduled Payments service. In addition to Scheduled Payments, Access Idaho manages the state’s official web portal, idaho.gov, and specializes in electronic government applications.
