TEG Environmental Plc ("TEG" or "The Company"), producers of leading edge green
technology in-vessel composting plants, announces that the City and County of

The turnkey project contract, won in competitive tender, will involve the design
and construction of a TEG in-vessel composter for the CCS, representing a first

Manager.
Commenting, Dick Bilborough, TEG Chief Executive said: "We are delighted that
our offer was accepted by a leading local authority in Wales to help it tackle
its organic waste problem. CCS are purchasing a system which is a clean,
composting solution, capable of dealing with all types of organic waste,
including locally arising food wastes. It avoids disposal to unsightly landfill
or to incineration. It is an important step for CCS, moving their waste
treatment up the hierarchy ladder of the preferred treatment of organic waste
set out by the UK Government and the EU. It will contribute towards meeting the
Authority's statutory waste treatment and diversion from landfill targets."
Said Councillor John Hague, Cabinet Member for the Environment, City and County
of Swansea: "We are pleased to be implementing leading, green-edge technology
which can deal with the growing problem of safely treating organic waste streams
to the high standards now required by legislation and helping us meet the
statutory targets for diverting waste from landfill."
