    Update

    Further to the announcement of the Company's interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2008, released on 23 December 2008,
the Board of Loanmakers provides the following update. 

    In the aforementioned announcement the Board highlighted the significant downturn in its trading performance and that it was unlikely
that this would improve in the second half of the financial year. The Board also made reference to its disappointment that the recently
proposed �1.86m underwritten open offer was rejected by shareholders, as this represented an opportunity to inject capital into the business
and that accordingly the Board was reviewing the funding and other options for the Group.

    Since that announcement, the Directors have continued working towards finding a solution for the Group but to date no such solution has
been forthcoming and trading continues to be poor.  

    Further announcements will be made as appropriate.
