Non- Executive Board Appointments

WEDNESDAY, 1 December 2004 -- Home Entertainment Corporation PLC ("HEC" or "the
Company") announces that Geoffrey Hopkins will stand down as non-executive
Deputy Chairman with effect from 1 December 2004. Mr Hopkins (one of HEC's
founders) will remain on the board of the company as a non-executive director.

Mr Hopkins' successor is to be Michael Riding (aged 61), who was appointed to
the board as a non-executive director on 4 May 2004. Mr Riding will chair the
Audit and Remuneration Committees.

Also with effect from 1 December 2004, the board has appointed David Sanders as
a non-executive director. Currently, Mr Sanders runs his own broadcasting
consultancy (Sanders & Partners) where he has spent much of the last ten years
working on digital and other projects for clients such as S4C, ITN, RTE (Irish
State Broadcaster) and the Department for Educations and Skills.

Iain Muspratt, Chairman, commented: "I am delighted David has agreed to join the
board. His knowledge of the broadcasting and programming industry will be
invaluable to the company."

After graduating from Cambridge University, Mr Sanders pursued a career in brand
marketing with Lever Brothers and Beecham, before becoming the Marketing
Director of a major independent video distribution company, Guild Home Video.

David John Sanders (aged 55) is currently a director of S4C Masnachol CYF, S4C
Digital Media Limited, S4C2 CYF, Channel Earth Limited, Sanders & Partners
Limited and Armstor Limited. In the last five years, Mr Sanders has been a
director of Sociemie SA, 40 Blenheim Crescent Management Limited, TSMS Group
Limited, TSMS Limited, TSMS Research Services Limited and IP Network UK Limited.

There are no further disclosures required under Schedule 2 paragraph (f) of the
AIM Rules in respect of Mr Sanders' appointment.
