Result of AGM

The Directors of Gartmore Irish Growth Fund PLC (the 'Company') are pleased to
announce that Resolution No. 10 relating to the continuation of the Company as
an investment trust proposed at the Annual General Meeting held today was
passed.

The Company has a strong performance record since its launch on 8 June 1995.
The increase in the NAV since that date until 31 March 2008 amounted to 804.8%,
representing a compound annual growth rate of 18.7%. The Directors believe that
the Company's mandate remains attractive and that the Company is well-placed to
achieve strong future performance on behalf of its Shareholders.

In accordance with the Articles of Association of the Company, the Board will
next propose a continuation resolution in 2011.

All other resolutions proposed at the AGM were passed.
