Eastplats Trades on the JSE

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 21, 2007) - Mr. Ian Rozier, President and CEO of
Eastern Platinum Limited ("Eastplats" or the "Company") (TSX:ELR)(AIM:ELR)(JSE:EPS), is pleased to
report that with effect from the commencement of business on Monday 21st May, 2007, the Company's
shares were listed for trading on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange ("JSE") in the "Resources, Mining-
Platinum" sector of the JSE list under the abbreviated name "Eastplats". The share symbol on the JSE
is EPS. Eastplats is not raising any equity with this listing.

In February 2004 South African Finance Minister, Mr. Trevor Manuel, announced the South African
government decision allowing non-South African registered companies to obtain a secondary listing on
the JSE, hence promoting foreign investment into South Africa. Since then, several foreign companies
have successfully listed on the JSE.

"The PGM industry is well understood in South Africa and this secondary listing is the only manner in
which South African residents can participate in the significant growth story that Eastplats offers.
The listing on the JSE will enable us to increase our investor base, enhance our stature in South
Africa's PGM sector and to provide future access to South Africa's capital market if required," stated
Ian Rozier, President and CEO of Eastplats.

Eastplats is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, on the London Stock Exchange - AIM with the symbol
ELR and on the JSE with the symbol EPS.
