Crown Place VCT PLC announces that on 6 July 2006 it purchased, to be held in
treasury, 47,552 Ordinary 10p Shares (representing 0.06% of the issued Share
Capital), at a price of 37p per Ordinary Share.

Following the purchase of the 47,552 Ordinary Shares, the total number of
treasury shares held by the Company will be 6,064,492. The issued share capital
of the Company, less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in Treasury, will
be 80,035,381 Ordinary 10p Shares.
