                                 CONTRACT LOSS

Alpha Airports Group Plc ("Alpha") announces today that after 30 years of
service to Thomsonfly (previously Britannia Airways Limited), its contract to
provide inflight catering services and bonded stores services will not be
renewed when it expires at the end of April 2006.

In recent years Alpha recognised annual revenue of #21m from this contract and
services Thomsonfly at 11 bases throughout the UK. The contract provides a net
contribution of circa #4.0m per annum towards our UK network infrastructure and
management costs.


Kevin Abbott, Chief Executive, commented:

"It is hugely disappointing that after such a long and successful service
history with Thomsonfly we have lost this contract due to a highly competitive
pricing environment. We will continue to pursue other opportunities to offset
this loss and we will review our UK cost structure to minimise the future impact
on profit."
