                               Board Appointment


Victory Corporation PLC announces that the Honourable Barbara S Thomas has today
been appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director. Mrs Thomas was formerly
a Commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. She is currently
chairman of Private Equity Investor plc, deputy chairman of Friends' Provident
plc and a director of Capital Radio plc.

Mrs Thomas was previously an executive director of News International plc and
Samuel Montague plc.
