Chairman's statement to be made at the company's annual general meeting, held at
12 noon today



I am pleased to report that turnover for the first 3 months of this current
financial year has been above that for the comparable period last year, with an
increasing order book. The Group has seen growth in all our product sectors and
all of the company's major markets have shown improvement, in particular the Far
East. It is too early in the financial year to predict the outcome but your
Board is confident of the Group's long term future.
