Groupe Gorgé, through its BAUMERT subsidiary, has just recently won several large orders for a range of applications:

The biggest order concerns the ITER programme (experimental reactor for the validation of power production through nuclear fusion) at the CEA Cadarache site in France. This order, which is the largest contract won in France since the EPR at Flamanville, concerns the supply of 390 containment doors, and will be installed over the next 18 months in the main building in the ITER programme (Tokamak). These containment doors provide protection from various risks such as flooding, are resistant to seismic activity, plane crashes and intrusion, and protect from fire and radiation.

The second order, for its part, is confirmation of the loyal custom and growth of a recent Chinese client, SNPEC, as part of projects that utilize American-Japanese AP1000 technology. For this project, Groupe Gorgé will deliver several anti-radiation shields placed between the reactor's steel containment and the spent fuel pool. The delivery of these shields is scheduled for the end of 2014.

Finally, the third and non-nuclear order is part of the French SECOIA programme: destruction of dated chemical munitions. The destruction plant, currently under construction, will house an automated process that makes it possible to avoid toxic discharges. BAUMERT has won an order of major importance for the plant's safety. The company will supply three swing doors for personnel access and three automated sliding hatches that protect against explosions, munition leaks and the risk of fire. The technical requirements for this project are particularly critical and include accounting for a risk of explosion producing a blast corresponding to a pressure of over 500 metric tons per sq.m.

These orders represent a sum in excess of €12 million. They are testimony once again to the acknowledged know-how and expertise of BAUMERT when it comes to the management of highly technical projects, particularly in nuclear environments, in France and abroad.
