eMagin Corporation (AMEX: EMA), a leader in OLED technology and
high resolution personal display systems, will demonstrate the
latest innovations in power-efficient microdisplays, the
OLED-XL(tm) microdisplays, at the Society for Information Display
Conference and Exhibition at San Francisco's Moscone Center June 6
through June 8. Located in Booth 744, eMagin is also showcasing its
microdisplay portfolio and subsystems in rugged commercial products
and modules which meet the needs of near-eye applications ranging
from PC gaming to night-vision headsets and scopes to mobile
command and control communications and training and simulation.
eMagin's proprietary OLED-XL displays provide a new level of high
performance imaging. Incorporation of a unique merger of advanced
OLED materials with eMagin's new top-emitting device structures,
built using proprietary processes, yield significant improvements
in lifetime and luminance for the new class of displays. The new
OLED-XL devices have up to 10 times longer luminance half life and
up to 5 times the efficiency of eMagin's already high performance
displays, depending on the specific OLED-XL product and operating
parameters. The gain in efficiency enables the OLED-XL
microdisplays to provide significantly higher luminance with the
lowest power requirement and widest temperature range of any
commercially available SVGA resolution microdisplay system. eMagin
is now offering samples of the OLED-XL microdisplays with
production quantities available in the fall. "Power efficiency and
brightness have been hallmarks of OLED microdisplays. OLED-XL
technology improves on both these characteristics and extends
display lifetimes as well," noted Susan Jones, executive vice
president and chief marketing officer, eMagin Corporation. "Our
first OLED-XL displays use the same electronics designs as our
current products so that OEM customers can readily adapt their
systems to take advantage of these performance improvements. We are
excited to show these next-generation microdisplays at SID, where
attendees can see for themselves the future of OLED microdisplays."
eMagin will also showcase its portfolio of microdisplays and
modules in products developed by eMagin and select OEM customers.
-- eMagin's Z800 3DVisor(tm)- the 2006 winner of CEA's coveted Best
of Innovations award for the entire category of digital displays as
well as the Design and Engineering Award for electronic gaming. The
Z800 3DVisor combines large-screen (105-inch display viewed at 12
ft) 3D graphics and video with highly responsive headtracking for
computer gaming. In addition, the 3DVisor enables portable,
cutting-edge industrial and military visual training simulations -
so realistic that the Z800 3DVisor has also been used in treating
post-traumatic stress disorder in soldiers returning from Iraq and
Afghanistan. (www.3dvisor.com). -- eMagin's Eyebud 800(tm) personal
display prototype delivers high-resolution video from any
video-capable iPod or other personal video player. The SVGA (800 x
600 pixels) display delivers full-color video at a full 60 Hz from
handhelds delivering SVGA, NTSC, or PAL signals. Its 40-degree
field of view provides a virtual image equivalent to a 105-inch
display viewed from 12 ft. -- eMagin's customizable Industrial
Personal Display System - The rugged ergonomic design provides SVGA
color OLED microdisplay housed in a moisture, dust, and heat
resistant USB or Vdc powered module designed for PC RGB input. --
.Nivisys TAM 14 (tm) - The rugged lightweight TAM-14 thermal
acquisition monocular, equipped with SVGA OLED microdisplays, won a
production contract for thermal imaging systems from the Department
of Homeland Security. The TAM-14 delivers infrared imagery
immediately at startup and operates continuously up to six hours on
two standard lithium batteries. It can be quickly adapted to head
gear, helmets, weapons, video output, and other equipment.

Fire-Warrior(tm) micro thermal imaging system, a monochrome,
helmet-based unit provides hands-free thermal imaging for
firefighters, leaving both hands free for the work of fighting
while providing critical visual information.

rugged full-color viewer and the LE-500 see-through viewer bring
virtual imaging to commercial and military customers in Europe and
North America. (www.liteye.com) -- TekGear O1 OLED Driver Board -
Specially developed to complement eMagin OLED displays, the boards
support monocular applications or binocular and stereoscopic
applications where each display engine must move independently or
receive a different video signal. They provide VESA VGA/SVGA video,
and NTSC/PAL monochrome video inputs. The boards provide power
conversion, OLED initialization, and auto video resolution and
refresh frequency detection (multi-sync). (www.tekgear.com) --
eMagin's WF05 prism optic and modules - Compact, sealed integrated
display and optic modules, dubbed OLED Microviewers, provide
approx. 40 degrees field of view in a rugged single-element optic
module for easy integration. Available in full color and monochrome
(white, yellow, green or custom) options. -- eMagin's OLED Quad
Taper - Customizable taper configurations for extremely high
resolutions with variable magnification. Custom surface curvatures
accommodate different optical designs. Visitors to the Fraunhofer
Institut fur Photonische Mikrosysteme at the German pavilion (Booth
338) can see the OLED-based VisualSystem marketed by
NordicNeuroLabs to provide true 3D visual stimuli for fMRI
(functional magnetic resonance imaging) applications. Fraunhofer
will also give a presentation on the system in the Tuesday
afternoon Applications Session. In addition, eMagin's CEO Gary
Jones will serve as panelist for the annual SID Press Breakfast
today from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in Rooms 121-122. Following
presentations by Dr. Aris Silzars, chair of the SID Publications
Committee and chair of the SID 2006 Business Conference and Paul
Semenza, vice president of display and consumer research for
market-research firm iSuppli Corp., attending press will have the
opportunity to ask questions of the panel of industry experts,
which will include Jones, Semenza, and Bock Kwon, Chief Marketing
and Sales Officer of LG.Philips LCD. For more information about
