London-listed private equity firm Symphony International Holdings Ltd. (SIHL.LN) said Thursday it is acquiring a minority stake in the company that controls Turkish healthcare provider Acibadem Saglik Hizmetleri ve Ticaret AS (ACIBD.IS) for $50 million.

The deal is likely to be completed by Wednesday, Symphony said in a statement. It didn't give details on the size of the stake it is taking in Integrated Healthcare Sdn Bhd., a unit of the Malaysian government's investment holding arm, Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

The company said the deal "will give it further exposure to the fast growing private healthcare sector in Asia and certain other emerging markets."

In December, Khazanah Nasional and Integrated Healthcare announced a plan to jointly buy a 75% stake in Acibadem in a transaction valuing the Turkish healthcare firm at $1.68 billion.
