                               Board Appointments

Further to the announcement on 4 August 2003, regarding APC's agreement to 
acquire the entire issued share capital of Silver Birch Marketing Limited 
("SBM") and GO! Technology Limited ("GO!"), the Board is pleased to announce 
that this transaction was completed on 8 August 2003, following the admission 
to AIM today of 1,250,001 of APC's ordinary shares of 2p each.

The Board is also pleased to announce the appointment to the Board of 
APC of William Ian McAteer and Phillip James Lancaster, with effect from 8 
August 2003.

Ian McAteer, 56, has been the major shareholder and managing director of SBM, a 
manufacturers' representative and distributor of electronic components and 
displays to commercial and industrial markets, which he founded in 1994. He was 
also a co-founder, in 1997, of GO!, which specialises in the turnkey supply of 
complete material kits ready for production.

Prior to founding SBM and GO!, Mr McAteer held senior sales management positions
in Texas Instruments Limited Semiconductor Division for 14 years, managing sales
forces in the market sectors of Industrial, Telecoms, Military and Distribution,
combining a mixture of OEM and Distribution experience.

Phillip Lancaster, 46, joined APC in May 1995 as a Product Manager for APC's
Electronic Component Distribution business. Since that time he has played a key
role in securing new product lines and developing new business in the UK's
military and aerospace market. He has been responsible for APC's appointment as
UK Representative and Distributor for a number of prominent American
manufacturers of high reliability electronic components. In 2000 he was promoted
to General Manager, and later to Director of Component Distribution.


Prior to joining APC, Mr Lancaster held a number of senior technical sales and
commercial management positions within the military, aerospace and industrial
market sectors and in all has had 28 years experience in the UK electronics
industry.

There is no information in 6F.2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules of the UK
Listing Authority that is required to be disclosed in relation to either of
these directors.
