FCX Freeport McMoRan Inc

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX) is considering a sale of its California on-shore oil wells in a move which could bring the company as much as $5 billion, Reuters reported Thursday on its website, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company has contacted potential interested buyers, although those approaches are in an early stage, the people told Reuters.
