ADRs End Higher, ABB and UBS Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed higher on
Tuesday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
rose 0.7% to 129.97. The European index moved up 0.4% to 127.12.
The Asian index gained 0.8% to 143.93. The Latin American index
advanced 1.5% to 191.85, while the emerging-markets index climbed
1.2% to 248.72.
ABB Ltd. was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The Swiss technology company ticked up 0.6% after Hitachi
Energy, a joint venture between Hitachi Ltd. and ABB's Power Grids
business, signed a strategic collaboration with Equinor ASA to
collaborate within electrification, renewable power generation and
low-carbon initiatives.
UBS AG ticked up 0.1% after German authorities searched the
offices of the Swiss bank, part of a money-laundering investigation
into sanctioned Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, The Wall
Street Journal reported.
