The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) has selected
South Carolina’s official state website, www.SC.gov, as a Silver
Winner for the 2013 W³ Awards and as a Silver Award for the 2013
Davey Awards in the Government Website category. The W³ Award
honors creative excellence on the web and the Davey Awards focuses
on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms
worldwide. Both programs recognize the creative and marketing
professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing
programs. The SC.gov online promotional video was also selected as
a Silver Winner for the 2013 W³ Awards. The W³ Awards and the Davey
Awards each received over 4,000 entries.
“We were amazed at the caliber and quality of work we received
this year. Our W3 winners continue to push the envelope of Internet
creativity and web design, and it is gratifying to see such great
work,” said Linda Day, the Director of the International Academy of
the Visual Arts. “The work in this year’s Davey Awards competition
embodies a smart, tactful approach to creativity and highlights the
capabilities and forward-thinking mindset that makes small agencies
so unique.”
Earlier this year South Carolina’s official website, SC.gov, was
ranked as the 4th best state government website in the nation by
the Center for Digital Government in the Best of the Web
competition. SC.gov was also recognized locally by the SC Chapter
of Government Management Information Systems with an Elite Achiever
Award.
SC.gov offers a variety of government-related services and
