             Verizon Communications to Report Earnings on Oct. 21

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2014 -- Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ) will
report third-quarter 2014 earnings on Tuesday, Oct. 21. Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer Francis J. Shammo will present results on
