                             DATE OF BOARD MEETING


This is to announce that a meeting of the Board of Directors of VTech Holdings
Limited (the "Company") will be held on Wednesday, 14th November 2007 on 23/F,
Tai Ping Industrial Centre, Block 1, 57 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po, New Territories,
Hong Kong, for the purpose of, among other matters, approving the interim
results for the six months ended 30th September 2007 and considering the payment
of an interim dividend.


As at the date of this announcement, the Executive Directors of the Company are
Mr. Allan WONG Chi Yun (Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer), Mr. Edwin
YING Lin Kwan and Mr. PANG King Fai. The Independent Non-executive Directors are
Mr. Raymond CH'IEN Kuo Fung, Mr. William FUNG Kwok Lun, Mr. Michael TIEN Puk Sun 
and Mr. Patrick WANG Shui Chung.
