DIRECTORATE CHANGE

TUI Travel PLC is pleased to announce that Janis Kong will join the PLC Board as a Non-Executive Director at the close of today's Board meeting.

Janis replaces Bill Dalton who having been a Board member since the creation of TUI Travel PLC in 2007 will be retiring from the Board today. Janis brings a wealth of experience to the Group having had a 33-year career with BAA where she held numerous positions including Managing Director at Gatwick Airport. Before leaving BAA in 2006, Janis was Chairman of Heathrow Airport Limited for five years as well as the Chairman of Heathrow Express.

Following Bill's retirement, Coline McConville has been appointed Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

Commenting on Bill's retirement and Janis' appointment, Sir Michael Hodgkinson, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Nomination Committee of TUI Travel, said:

"Bill has been a much valued member of the Board and I would like to thank him for his efforts and significant contribution to both the First Choice Holidays and TUI Travel Boards. I would also like to welcome Janis to the Board. We look forward to her bringing her experience of both the corporate world and the aviation industry in particular to the Group."

In line with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority, Janis has confirmed that she holds directorships at two other publicly quoted companies; Kingfisher PLC and Portmeirion Group PLC.
