             appointment of non-executive director
                               
The  Board of Freepages is pleased to announce the appointment
of Thomas James Lawrence as a Non-executive Director.

Mr  Lawrence,  aged  63, is an American  citizen  educated  at
Stanford  University and previously a member of the  Board  of
Intel  Corporation  and  more  recently  Apple  Computer.   Mr
Lawrence has been CEO and Chairman of TJL Inc since 1988.   Mr
Lawrence  has  more  than 20 years of professional  management
experience  and his strategic knowledge about  the  media  and
technology  industry will be invaluable in  helping  Freepages
pursue   its  international  expansion  plans.   Mr   Lawrence
currently  has  no direct or indirect interest  in  the  share
capital of Freepages.
