     OUTLINE PLANNING PERMISSION GRANTED ON BATH BUS DEPOT SITE

FirstBus are delighted at the decision announced today of the Secretary of
State for the Environment to grant outline planning permission to Safeway for
the development of our Bath bus depot site into a food retail store.

This will enable us upon completion to move forward with our plans to
construct on Weston Island site in Bath a brand new purpose built depot.  This
is a much needed development for a currently derelict site and will enable us
to provide even better services for our customers in the area.
