BTG PLC : NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

BTG plc (LSE: BGC), today received notification in accordance with Sections
198-202 of the Companies Act 1985, that as of 7 August 2003, Deutsche Bank and
its subsidiary companies no longer have a notifiable interest in the relevant
share capital of BTG plc, defined as an interest equal to or more than 10%
of BTG's share capital.
