A veteran of the direct selling industry, Pahwa offers 25 years of strategic leadership experience in global marketing. Among other responsibilities, he was responsible for Avon's wellness business and successfully led the growth of the Avon.com consumer business into the largest online beauty site in the U.S. Prior to his work at Avon, Pahwa spent 10 years at Mary Kay Cosmetics where he served in various management roles, including president of the company's e-business division, and senior vice president of global marketing and sales promotions. In these roles, he helped shape and disseminate an effective brand strategy with global application that led to several award-winning and successful new product launches and effective preservation of the Mary Kay brand equity while expanding aggressively into new international markets. Pahwa also spent 10 years with Publicis/Bloom, part of one of the world's largest communications groups. He worked as a senior vice president with well-known consumer brands including Maybelline, Nestle and GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to his work with Publicis, Pahwa also worked with Ogilvy & Mather in Bombay, India and the packaged tea and coffee division of Unilever in India. Most recently, Pahwa served as vice president of global marketing and sales for the Wall Street Institute (WSI), a portfolio company of the private equity firm, The Carlyle Group.
