PR Newswire (Canada)
MARKHAM, ON, Feb. 3 /CNW/ -- Company's web-native EMR to be used by
Primary Care and Outpatient Healthcare Providers MARKHAM, ON, Feb.
3 /CNW/ - Nightingale Informatix Corporation (TSX-V: NGH)
("Nightingale" or the "Company"), an application service provider
(ASP) of electronic medical record ("EMR") software and related
services, today announces a follow-on agreement with the Center for
Disability Services ("CFDS") in Albany, New York to deploy its
leading, web-native EMR and practice management solution,
Nightingale On Demand, to the health services division of CFDS. An
existing Nightingale customer, CFDS uses the Company's EMR in other
facilities. Nightingale's EMR will be used by 70 healthcare
providers within the CFDS health services division, which delivers
primary care services including adult medicine, pediatrics,
developmental pediatrics, and women's health. Other outpatient
services include physical medicine & rehabilitation; neurology;
occupational, physical and speech therapy; and aquatic &
massage therapy. "We are excited to be further expanding our
relationship with CFDS, which we have been partnering with since
2006," said Sam Chebib, President & CEO of Nightingale
Informatix Corporation. "This new agreement is a strong testament
to the quality of products and service we provide to our enterprise
customers. CFDS is one of the most prominent and widely respected
facilities for disability services in the US, and we have long
supported its mandate to empower and enable people living with
disabilities to lead healthy, enriched lives. We are excited to
continue to work with CFDS' healthcare professionals to contribute
to the fulfillment of this mission." Nightingale's EMR will be used
by healthcare providers within the health services division of
CFDS, which delivers primary care services including adult
medicine, pediatrics, developmental pediatrics, and women's health.
Other outpatient services include physical medicine and
rehabilitation; neurology; occupational, physical and speech
therapy, and aquatic and massage therapy. CFDS provides
multidisciplinary care for more than 15,000 patients with
disabilities and chronic medical conditions in over 80 locations
across upstate New York. Patients' health information will now be
shared seamlessly between healthcare and non-healthcare providers
using Nightingale's EMR solution, thereby allowing the CFDS to
offer a greater continuum of care. "Having worked with
Nightingale for several years, making the decision to expand our
partnership to include our health services group was a natural next
step," said Gregory Sorrentino, Chief Financial Officer, CFDS.
"Nightingale has consistently been able to support our unique needs
and now the health services team will benefit from the capabilities
of their leading edge technology solution. Importantly, they will
have access to files for patients who are receiving care in other
areas of the Center, rather than maintaining separate records,
which is currently the case. Expanding the integration of this
technology further through the Center will enable us to offer our
patients a more comprehensive level of care than they already
receive." Nightingale's products and services offer physicians in
United States and Canada leading-edge functionality for clinical
documentation, patient scheduling, resource scheduling, billing,
transcription, end-to-end coding and claims processing, data
management, work flow tools, laboratory interfaces, documentation
management and patient portals, along with other real-time
services. About CFDS The Center for Disability Services provides
