--Virgin Media O2 is in talks to sell part of its stake in telecommunication-tower business Cornerstone to investment firm GLIL in a deal that could value the whole business at 2.5 billion pounds ($3.03 billion), Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Virgin Media O2, jointly owned by Telefonica and Liberty Global, could sell a stake of less than 25% in Cornerstone, according to Reuters.

--Virgin Media O2 and GLIL declined to comment when contacted by Dow Jones Newswires.
