15:41 EST -- Kroger Co. is one of the most talked-about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. On Tuesday, the grocer said the Federal Trade Commission requested additional information as part of its review of Kroger's planned merger with Albertsons Companies, Inc. Kroger said it would continue to "work cooperatively" with the FTC, "including developing a thoughtful divestiture plan."
