StateScoop, ACT-IAC recognize the first virtual
personal assistant built for government
Gov2Go, the first-of-its-kind, personal government assistant
developed by the Information Network of Arkansas (INA), has
received two national awards for technology innovation.
With more than 80,000 votes cast, members of the state and local
government IT community selected Gov2Go from hundreds of
nominations in six categories to receive a StateScoop 50 Award in
the Innovation of the Year category. The StateScoop 50 awards honor
innovators and emerging leaders in state and local government.
Gov2Go also placed as a Top 8 Finalist from nearly 150 entries
in the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory
Council’s (ACT-IAC) Institute for Innovation “Igniting Innovation
2016” Awards Showcase. The awards recognize the most innovative
uses of technology to improve government programs and services to
citizens.
“Arkansas has long been a digital government innovator, and it
is an honor to once again be recognized for our citizen-centric
approach to delivering government services through Gov2Go,” INA
Board Chair Mark Martin said. “More importantly, we are thrilled to
see more than 140,000 people using Gov2Go and sharing positive
feedback about how it’s making their lives easier. We are
positively changing the way Arkansans interact with their
government.”
Based on input from users, Gov2Go proactively brings relevant
government services and information to them on their computers,
mobile devices, and Apple watches. Gov2Go keeps track of deadlines
such as property tax payments, car tag renewals, and property
assessment, and sends users important reminders based on their
needs.
