                    The Trading Exchange plc (the "Company")                    

                                Corporate Update

 
As part of the ongoing strategic review started in June, the Board was asked in
October by its major shareholders to evaluate all strategic options in order to
deliver maximum shareholder value. The Board is currently investigating several
different options, including the merger or divestment of the existing exchange
business.  Discussions are continuing with several different parties and the
board will make further announcements in due course.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Board does not currently believe that these
discussions will lead to an offer being made for the entire issued share capital
of the Company.
