   Shore Capital, the independent investment group specialising in capital 
markets, asset management and principal finance, today announces that 
Puma Brandenburg Limited, an entity controlled by Howard Shore and his 
connected persons, purchased 1,268,737 ordinary shares in Shore Capital 
at a price of GBP2.00 per share from Aralon Resources and Investment 
Company Limited (the "Purchase").  As an affiliated person of a member 
of a concert party holding shares carrying over 50 per cent of the 
Company's voting rights, the Purchase does not result in any obligation 
under Rule 9 of the Code to make a general offer. The resultant concert
