                              Total Voting Rights

Aricom plc (LSE: ORE, OREW), the Anglo-Russian developer of mineral resources,
today announces that application has been made for the admission of 252,900
ordinary shares to listing on the Official List and to trading on the main
market of the London Stock Exchange. Dealings in these ordinary shares are
expected to commence on 5 February 2008.

The ordinary shares have been issued to PBO Handels GmbH ("PBOH") following
their revised decision to accept the offer made by Aricom to acquire the
minority shareholding in Lapwing Limited ("Lapwing") (the "Offer").  As
announced previously, Aricom had reached a conditional agreement with Olis
Constructions Limited ("Olis") in relation to the acquisition of their 29.26%
interest in Lapwing and had also made the Offer to the remaining minority
shareholders of Lapwing. The acquisition of the 29.26% interest from Olis
remains subject to shareholder approval.

Under the terms of the Offer, in consideration for its 0.01% interest in
Lapwing, PBOH was entitled to receive 252,900 new ordinary shares in the Company
(which represented 0.02% of the share capital of the Company in issue at the
time of the Offer). The number of ordinary shares was calculated in accordance
with the offer on the basis of 8.43 Aricom shares for every 1 Lapwing share.

In conformity with the Transparency Directive, Aricom plc is required to notify
the market of the following:

Following this issue the total issued share capital of the Company will comprise
1,119,322,860 ordinary shares with a nominal value of �0.001 each, each share
conveying the right to one vote. Aricom Plc does not hold any ordinary shares in
Treasury.

Therefore, after admission the total number of voting rights in Aricom Plc will
be 1,119,322,860.

The above figure of 1,119,322,860 shares may be used by shareholders as the
denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Aricom
Plc under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
