Update on the recommended acquisition by Alpcot Agro - successful Placing of US$20m

Landkom International PLC (AIM: LKI, "Landkom" or "the Group"), the Ukrainian producer of agricultural commodities notes the announcement made earlier today by Alpcot Agro AB ("Alpcot") in relation to the proposed Placing of New Alpcot Agro Shares to raise US$20 million (the "Placing"). Alpcot has announced that the Placing has been subscribed for primarily by Swedish investors and international institutional investors.

Neil Balfour, Landkom's Chairman said:

"I am pleased to announce that the US$20m Placing, which was a condition of Alpcot's offer to acquire Landkom, has been successful.

The acquisition, via a Scheme of Arrangement, is subject to the various Conditions to the Acquisition announced yesterday which will be more fully described in a Scheme Document to follow shortly. The Conditions include, among other things, Landkom shareholder approval of the Scheme The successful US$20 million Placing is the first step in that process."
