The Company was notified yesterday, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act
1985, that Eaglet Investment Trust sold on 18 March 2003, 250,000 ordinary
shares and now holds 1,837,523 ordinary shares which represents 9.72% of the
issued share capital of Country & Metropolitan plc. These shares are registered
in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees Ltd.
