(PINKSHEETS: SMVI) announced the execution of a web development and marketing agreement with the DPM Group, Inc, to advertise, develop and enhance the pet social networking portal, PetsPlaces.com (www.PetsPlaces.com). The agreement calls for the DPM Group, Inc. to market PetsPlaces.com through its email marketing distribution channels, as well as create additional content and online games for the popular online pet community. Targeted markets include the more than 70 million pet owners in the United States.

SMVI CEO Robert W. Thayer stated, "Social Media Ventures is pleased to announce this milestone web-developmental agreement for PetsPlaces.com, with our experienced marketing partner, the DPM Group. We are hoping this agreement will begin to increase our membership base by utilizing the sophisticated email marketing campaigns provided by the DPM Group as well as provide the site with significant upgrades in services offered. By increasing our membership base, we hope to increase the valuation of PetsPlaces.com and develop a significant source of advertising revenue from PetsPlaces.com."

The DPM Group, Inc. will utilize its experience by developing an email marketing and advertising program for PetsPlaces.com to attract new pet owners to its website. Both companies will work together to develop new services, such as online games and mobile phone content, for PetsPlaces.com. The DPM Group will share in the ad revenue generated through PetsPlaces.com if certain milestones in membership are met, showing their commitment to the success of this marketing venture.
