NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Spring
'13 Christian Siriano for Payless Gold(TM) collection
will hit the runway at New York Fashion Week tomorrow with shoe
designs inspired by the Dream Ballet performed
by The American Ballet Theatre. The spring collection
features unique design details like snipped point-toe treatments,
uppers rendered in soft hues like seafoam and blush and whimsical
polka dots, folded-ribbon bows evoking the ribbon lacing of ballet
shoes, as well as a "ballerina oxford" flat design, a first at
Christian's runway show.

"My Spring 2013 collection was
inspired by the whimsical movement of the ballet -- particularly
the Dream Ballet as performed by The American
Ballet Theatre, which is an original adaptation of A Midsummer
Night's Dream. I was drawn to the costumes worn by the dancers and
my runway shoes pick up on this theme and feature silhouettes
perfect for evening and simple enough for day -- including a great
flat, a first for me!"
The runway designs will inspire the Spring '13 Christian
Siriano for Payless Gold collection, due in stores in February
of next year. The forthcoming collection is expected to
feature five shoe styles starting around $40 for a pair for flats.
Fall Collection In-Stores Now
Christian also has a second shoe label at Payless, Christian
Siriano for Payless, which is focused on everyday styling at great
prices, starting under $30. Both of the designer's fall
collections are available in stores now with the Christian
Siriano for Payless label featuring shoes with menswear
details such as the Lambert loafer pump, $35, with its peep-toe, tassel detail and plaid
and tweed uppers, and the Candice flat, $27, with its gold chain and tassel detailing
rendered in rich red and black versions. This line also
includes coordinating handbags for the fall season -- the Trista
shopper with its leopard print detailing, and the color-blocked
Logan in grey/black and beige/black combinations -- both are priced
at $25 each.
The Christian Siriano for Payless Gold fall '12 line,
which hit the runway earlier this year at New York Fashion Week,
includes shoes inspired by the movie The Vampire Bat, as well
as bats themselves. The Gold fall label pricing starts at
$40 for flats.
