JBoss, a division of Red Hat (NASDAQ: RHAT), today announced that
Informatica, a leading provider of data integration software, has
joined the expanding roster of companies participating in the JBoss
Certified Technology Partner Program. Products from these companies
are optimized to work with the JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite
(JEMS), the leading open source platform for service-oriented
applications (SOA). Customers deploy Informatica's leading data
integration solutions to access, profile, cleanse, integrate and
deliver data from a variety of business systems. Working with the
JBoss Application Server can provide customers with an enriched
solution that is implemented quickly and efficiently at a lower
cost. The JBoss Application Server is a central piece of the JEMS
platform. "JBoss technology enables us to offer our customers a
fully supported product with proven interoperability at minimal
cost," said Ivan Chong, vice president of product marketing,
Informatica. "Given the increasing adoption of open source at the
enterprise level, it makes sense from both a business and
technology perspective to offer our customers an easy path to
leveraging open source cost-effectively in their organization." "We
welcome Informatica as the latest addition to the JBoss Certified
Technology Partner Program," said Tom Cooper, vice president of
worldwide channels, JBoss. "Offering JBoss technology in existing
products enables our partners to bring an out-of-the-box solution
to market faster with a substantial total cost of ownership
advantage over proprietary solutions. The JBoss services and
support team works closely with partners like Informatica to ensure
customer success." The JBoss Certified Technology Partner program
provides technology vendors with a rapid path to the open source
market, where they can drive additional high-margin revenue through
Level 1 and Level 2 support services, backed by Level 3 support
from JBoss. The program also arms partners for success through
training and professional and solution certification. For more
