Redesign Offers Kentuckians an Enhanced User
Experience
Kentucky Correctional Industries (KCI) recently underwent a
website redesign to enhance user experience and better showcase
KCI’s volume of custom-built and handmade products.
KCI launched its new website (kci.ky.gov) earlier in the year,
allowing the organization to showcase an online catalog of
handcrafted products produced by inmates in eight correctional
institutions across the Commonwealth. The products, ranging from
janitorial supplies to office furniture, are categorized by
industry and are available for viewing via the online catalog.
“We wanted to showcase the custom work that our inmates do and
the array of products that we offer Kentucky-based businesses and
citizens,” said KCI Administrative Branch Manager Joseph B.
Woods.
The website is presented in a responsive design, allowing users
the ability to access information and browse the online catalog
across multiple devices.
KCI’s website was developed and redesigned by Frankfort-based
Kentucky Interactive, LLC, aka Kentucky.gov, via a public-private
partnership at no cost to the partner.
