The Nebraska Board of Geologists has joined a handful of innovative government agencies to bring their professional licensing service to a new government personal assistant platform named Gov2Go.

Partnering with Nebraska Interactive, the Board committed to catapult the agency to the next level of service by providing Gov2Go, an NIC Inc. platform which is the nation’s first personal assistant for government that brings together all interactions with all levels of government in one convenient platform. Gov2Go enables constituents and professionals to access critical government services in a way that is citizen-centric, easy to adopt and proven to work. Gov2Go learns about a citizen’s government interactions, tracks these interactions, notifies citizens of transaction deadlines and completes the transaction with Gov2Go one-click payments.

“Each renewing professional geologist is given a choice to auto-enroll and receive a notification of their renewal date for the next cycle or opt out of the notifications. Each user makes the decision and creates their own profile. The great news is they can also receive nation-wide notifications about Amber alerts and other services, in addition to local Nebraskan government services. We are very excited to offer this level of convenience to the citizens and professionals in our state,” said Brent Hoffman, GM of Nebraska Interactive.

Sandra Weaver, Business Manager, State of Nebraska Board of Geologists remarked, “I was concerned about how Gov2Go would be presented, but it is tastefully done, not intrusive, and I think it is a great service to those who want to use it. None of this would have been possible without the ground breaking innovation from Nebraska Interactive and NIC Inc.”

In addition to the Gov2Go platform, the Board of Geologists also collaborated to create a streamlined and updated application for online, mobile responsive license renewals. A slimmed down online payment user experience wraps up the whole package.
