The Nebraska Brand Committee (NBC) received approval from the Nebraska State Board of Records for the development of a complete end-to-end software solution that will revolutionize the industry. Incorporating this innovation, never done before in the state, will exponentially improve efficiencies within the committee which is still using a paper process. The solution will include the ability to collect fees online, record cattle metrics and track brand inspections.

“To receive unanimous approval by the Board of Records was a testament of not only the work that this committee has undertaken, but what this application will provide in terms of transparency, audit reporting, budgeting, accountability and customer service. This allows the Nebraska Brand Committee to run as an effective business. Partnering with the state and Nebraska Interactive makes this all possible,” said John Widdowson, Chair of the Nebraska Brand Committee’s Technology Working Group.

The solution will provide brand inspectors the ability to input their data in a tablet and producers can pay their fees instantly, or opt to pay later online. The field data will synch with the data base in real time depending on internet connectivity. Data input by hand is no longer needed thus creating an efficient flow of information where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.

“Nebraska is a beef production leader in our country. We are ecstatic to tackle this project which will increase efficiencies in such an important area of our state’s economy. Accessing and syncing data in the field using our latest innovation is one way we serve Nebraskan businesses best. We are excited to get into development,” said Brent Hoffman, President of Nebraska Interactive.
