The Tennessee Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance recently launched an improved Campaign Finance Reporting Application, https://apps.tn.gov/tncamp. The application contains financial records that candidates and Political Action Committees (PACs) are required to disclose by law and allows them to file these reports online. The system also includes a public search tool where citizens may review, search and download campaign finance information.

The campaign finance application redesign included data model improvements related to reporting and amendments. New features were implemented, including improved usability for reporting, searching, and data uploading and downloading. The application has also been updated to the responsive template – optimizing it for viewing on the widest variety of devices, including phones and tablets. Improvements were made to the application performance and the site was redesigned to be visually cleaner, easier to read, and easier to use.

“The application has been updated to provide better functionality to all users. Candidates and PACs will have improved error checking and edit capabilities. PACs will also have a new feature allowing their campaign financial disclosure reports to be uploaded into the application. The public will have increased search capabilities and better access to large amounts of data,” said Drew Rawlins, Executive Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance.

The Tennessee Online Campaign Finance Application was designed and developed by NIC Inc., Tennessee’s eGovernment Partner since 2000.
