Agency teams up with SC.gov to increase
efficiency
The State Ethics Commission recently partnered with SC.gov to
make the State Ethics Commission Website and Public Disclosure and
Accountability Reporting Application mobile-friendly. Campaign
finance reports are available at
http://apps.sc.gov/PublicReporting/Index.aspx and show the public
what individuals and interests donate to candidates and committees,
and how the money is spent. Lobbying reports also provide
information on relationships, subjects, contributions and
expenditures related to lobbying activity.
The application and website use responsive design, which means
the view conforms to any device – desktop, laptop, tablet and
smartphone. The system is available 24/7 and information is
available to the public as soon as reports are filed.
The State Ethics Commission site contains information about
Rules of Conduct, Ethics Complaints and Advisory Opinions, and
more. The Public Disclosure and Accountability Reporting search
enables users to search by individual or committee/organization
names, contributions and expenditures. Users can also sort and
download their search results.
This application improves government transparency by making the
information immediately available to the public to query, view,
download and print. The application and the State Ethics Commission
website was created and is maintained at no cost through a
partnership between the State Ethics Commission and SC.gov.
