Ariba, Inc, (NASDAQ: ARBA), the leading provider of
collaborative business commerce solutions, is expanding its global
channel partnerships. The company today announced agreements with
two leading IT consultancies to resell its solutions across the
Asia Pacific region. ECC International Group, a dynamic and
innovative consulting and products company specializing in quality
and process improvement across Southeast Asia, has signed on to
resell Ariba’s offerings to customers throughout the Phillipines
and Theta Edge Berhad, formerly known as Lityan Holdings Berhad, a
Bursa-listed IT service provider, will do the same in Malaysia.
“In today’s economy, few things are more critical to survival
than managing costs and cash,” said Susan England, Vice President,
Channel Sales, Ariba. “Ariba provides companies with access to
market-leading technology, expert capabilities and the world’s
largest trading partner community which they can leverage to
control costs, minimize risk and optimize cash flow and operations.
We are pleased to be teaming with ECCI and Theta Edge to bring our
solutions to market in the Asia Pacific and to helping companies
throughout the region deliver results.”
Under the terms of its agreements with Ariba, ECCI and Theta
Edge will offer Ariba’s cloud-based solutions to customers to help
them create a standardized, best-practice approach to procurement
that is tightly integrated with other business functions such as
finance and aligned with overall corporate goals.
"The economic crisis has taught us a lot of things, the most
common of them being that companies must procure goods and services
for less," said Sreeni Narayanan, Managing Director of ECCI Group.
"But it can’t be done in a vacuum. By joining forces with Ariba, we
can provide companies with all of the tools they need to mature
their procurement processes and collaborate with key stakeholders
across the enterprise to create superior financial impact for their
organizations."
“In joining forces with Ariba, Theta Edge can help companies in
Malaysia drive better commerce through more efficient sourcing and
spend management,” said Nor Badli Mohd Alias, Group Managing
Director and Chief Executive Officer of Theta Edge Berhad. “Our
experience in system integration capabilities and existing customer
base and available prospects, coupled with Ariba’s proven solutions
