          DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT IN MEXICO FOR NEEDLE DISPOSAL SYSTEM

Medisys  PLC  ("Medisys"), the point-of-care medical device  group,  announces
that  Becton  Dickinson & Co, the world's largest manufacturer  of  hypodermic
syringe  needles, has been appointed the exclusive distributor for the Medisys
NicSafe 1800 needle disposal system (the "NicSafe 1800") in Mexico.

In  Mexico,  Becton  Dickinson & Co produces more  than  600  million  syringe
needles  annually,  and  has a 95 per cent. share of  Mexico's  annual  needle
requirements.

The  NicSafe  1800,  the first and only US FDA-approved device  of  its  type,
instantly destroys hypodermic needles at point of use.

The system is marketed to medical institutions and private practitioners as  a
cost-effective  way  of disposing of used needles that  can  also  reduce  the
incidence of needlestick injuries among healthcare workers.

Medisys  estimates  that  there are more than 2,000,000  needlestick  injuries
worldwide  on  an  annual basis, creating a multi-billion pound  problem   for
healthcare providers.

Commenting on the agreement, Kurt Amundson, the newly appointed President  and
Chief Operating Officer of Medisys said:
