               Disposal of Bone Wax Product Line

Medisys  announces  that  it has  disposed  of  its  bone  wax
business to Surgical Specialties Corporation Inc. ("SSC")  for
a total of $1,500,000 in cash.

In  October  1999, Futura Medical Corporation Inc. ("Futura"),
the  Group's medical safety products business, granted  SSC  a
five year licence to manufacture, market and sell its bone wax
product  worldwide.   The  agreement  also  granted  SSC   the
exclusive option to acquire the product for a $2.5m  less  all
consideration already paid in respect of the product.

Under  the  terms  of  the  agreement  SSC,  paid  an  initial
consideration  of  $1m  in cash for the  licence  and  granted
Futura royalties on product sales in each year during the term
of the agreement.  Royalties totalling $169,500 were paid over
the  life of the licence agreement.  SSC has now exercised the
option and the final consideration payable totalled $1,330,500
in  cash.   Medisys will use the proceeds from  the  sale  for
general corporate purposes.

The bone wax product generated pre tax profits of $674,117  in
the  year  ended 30 September 1999 and the net assets employed
in the business at that date totalled $101,347.

David Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Medisys said: "Exercise
of  the  SSC option to acquire the bone wax product  completes
the transaction first announced in October 1999.  Disposal  of
this  non  core product line for an attractive price completes
the  restructuring of Futura Medical and will allow management
to  concentrate  on  the development of its healthcare  worker
safety products business."

Bone  wax is a product used to help seal bones during  certain
types of surgical procedure.
