                      NOTICE OF AGM

Freepages Group plc, the interactive consumer information
service operating under the Scoot trading name in the UK,
Netherlands  and  Belgium, has today  posted  the  Annual
Report and Accounts for the year ended 30 September  1997
and a notice to shareholders convening the Annual General
Meeting of the Company on 21 April 1998 at 12.00 noon  at
the  Kensington  Palace Thistle Hotel, De  Vere  Gardens,
Kensington, London  W8.  At that meeting the Company will
be seeking shareholders approval for a general authority
to  repurchase up to 5% of its own issued ordinary  share
capital.

Copies  of  the Report and Accounts and notice  convening
the  Annual  General  Meeting may be  obtained  from  the
offices  of  Freepages  Group  Plc,  Information   House,
Parkway Court, Oxford OX4 2JY.
